Red Icon Problem
Safeworlds is pleased to announce that AltME 2.0 will add file sharing.
Now, you can share your important files and folders with other users in your AltME world.
Overwhelming Demand
Due to overwhelming demand from our users, Safeworlds has developed a new
version of AltME that includes file sharing and folder management.
We recognize that sharing files, collaborating, and organizing
data are key components of effective communication and information
management, and with AltME 2.0 that now becomes possible.
Secure Real-Time File Sharing
AltME 2.0 will provide enhanced functionality to easily publish, share and
manage files in a secure, real-time environment.
With a few simple
steps, users can quickly master AltME's document publishing and
management tools. Specifically, AltME offers folder directories and
user permissions to help users organize and access information while
quickly viewing pertinent file/folder details.
AltME delivers this robust functionality in a small portable executable
the size of a digital picture. File Sharing will be a standard feature
of all future AltME versions.
To find out more, read the AltME File Sharing
chapter of the user's guide.
An Invitation
We want to invite all interested AltME users to download and try our
latest beta test version:
Go to AltME Beta Test Page
for details.
In an effort to make AltME even better, we
welcome all feedback. AltME users have been diligent in providing
functionality requests and this latest version specifically addresses
that feedback.
Updates 15-March-2006
- AltME File Sharing
chapter added to the user's guide.
- File history and archiving added.
Download the latest version to try it. Note you must restart your server
to use this feature.
Red Icon Problem
Recently, when the clock switched to daylight savings time, the
file icons may turn red to show that their time has changed.
We know about this problem, and we are working on it.
We plan to have an updated version by the end of April that fixes
the problem.
